Empirical Profiling

Tasks are assigned to processors at run-time. These decisions are made using a process algebra that formulates resource bounded optimization problems. This process algebra, the $-calculus (pronounced cost calculus), has been pioneered by Dr. Eugene Eberbach at ARL.

Implementation of the process algebra relies on atomic cost functions that express the process quality in terms of resources used. We use experimental methods to derive these functions.
