Mobile Ubiquitous Security Environment
Approach
We approach the problem as follows:
- Theory - We have an interacting
automata theory that includes the ability of behaviors
to wander from network node to network node.
- Abstract simulations - Mobile code
behaviors are coded and tested in a Cellular Automata
based visualization environment.
- High fidelity simulations - Promising
approaches are integrated into the Virtual Internet Testbed
(ns and nam). Multiple network configurations can be
generated. The mobile code behaviors can then be integrated
with IP network protocols and statistical evaluations
performed.
- Prototype implementations - After
exhaustive testing sith VINT simulations, we test our
infrastructure protection algorithms on a live
network isolated from the Internet. This makes use of
our network pathology laboratory.
